China bans some Europe poultry imports on bird flu outbreaks - customs

SHANGHAI, Feb 21 (Reuters) - China said it would ban imports of poultry and poultry products from Slovenia, Hungary, Germany and Ukraine due to bird flu outbreaks, according to a customs statement on Friday.

China has reported bird flu cases in its Sichuan, Hunan and Xinjiang provinces in the past month, while Germany, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic have confirmed cases recently.
